Now we'll see if Pardew is serious about trying to sign Carrol.

Doubt it, supposedly they have also enquired about Sakho and valencia. he's just trying to force Liverpool's hand on benteke.

I think you have to try and forget about transfer fee's at the moment.
He's a very good player though and massively improves them, which is a concern for us.
I would have loved for us to get him.

Palace will sign Benteke, which I think is a great signing. Over priced but then they have just sold Bolasie over price so I guess on some level it evens out.
Benteke has become shit overnight, in fact his goal scoring ratio at Liverpool was around 1 in 3 and that was without a decent run of games.

used to watch him and puncheon over Barnet, surprised they both made it to the premier league, Albert Adomah at middlesbrough was better than both

Surprised Koeman went for this. Usually has someone cheap from Europe up his sleeve. I like Bolasie but not for that money...too inconsistent. Maybe one to please the fans, new owners and until Bolasie all theyd bought was a CM from a relegated team

I make you right about the fees and that this is a threat to us. Under a good manager, Bolasie will thrive.

Huge gamble. Paid probably £10m - £15m over what I think he's worth.

For some reason I thought he was more prolific than his 13 goals over the 4 season he's been at Palace.

be interesting to see if Koeman can replicate his success in the transfer market at Everton. Southampton appear to have a very good set-up for replacing sold players with like for like quality. Was it Koeman or was it the board/DoF??

DoF. Theer was a great article a little while ago about how they go about recruitment, and not just players, but managers too, so they know they can continue to run the club the way they want to without the manager wanting too much control over their transfer policy.

We signed Ayew, Tore and Feghouli for £24m, and I think all three are better players.

and people think we have had a poor transfer window?!
feghouli, i feel is better, ayew definitely so. havent seen enough of tore though, plus both he and feghouli and yet to be proven in the PL. but im sure they will both do well.
